feist

9 Oct

I know it’s because of the Internet, but I don’t know when I became the kind of person who takes off all her clothes in the middle of the afternoon to sit in her room with an almost characteristic cookie craving and fake eyelashes stuck to her heels from the other morning when she thought she’d try them out and seriously miscalculated the degree of skill necessary to hold the tweezers closed and bring it toward the eye in uncomfortable angles at the same time. I’m listening to Feist for the first time since I heard that one song on the radio every day in 2008, wondering if her songs makes me achy or if I woke up this way, suffering daily from my narcissism, the pain of needing to feel the soreness of my peers. The music is fine. It’s bright now, like summer, and my sister will be home soon. I’ll put on the same thing I was wearing yesterday, a comfortable shirt and jean shorts, and maybe we’ll catch up on the episodes we’ve missed of Switched At Birth.

I love that show and fake eyelashes absolutely suck trying to put them on. I hope you enjoy the new episodes of Switched At Birth. I love that show. 🙂
